My final body of work at OCAD U
Posthumous invents divine beings and spaces that portray the unanswered questions of our earthly existence, offering a thought-provoking exploration of the afterlife and a range of philosophies. Emphasizing the endless possibilities of where we might find ourselves after we die and allowing us to humanize the incomprehensible.
01
One Unified Consciousness Theory
After we die we morph into one unified consciousness, one being with all the knowledge we’ve ever gained.
02
Soul Redistribution Theory
In an afterlife where souls continue to exist as a source of energy after we die, they are then redistributed into new life.
03
The Egg Theory
We are all one being, continuously reborn throughout all of time. Based on The Egg by Andy Weir, once you've lived every human life throughout all time, you will have grown enough to be born.
04
Paranormal Theory
Life continues beyond the physical realm, often manifesting as spirits or ghosts interacting with the living world and in this case the dealer of misfortune.
05
Eternal Oblivion Theory
The carousel of life goes around and around and results in nothing, it decays over time and continues its cycle eternally.
06
The Simulation Theory
In a dimension where simulating sentient life is possible, a divine controller manipulates what we know as our galaxy.
07
The Sum Theory
In Sum, we relive our entire lives in a random sequence, each moment lasting the same duration as it did originally. Based on Sum: Forty Tales from the Afterlives by David Eagleman, events are experienced out of order, with no control over the sequence.
08
Dream Theory
Exploring the dream theory as some of the most common dream motifs, from teeth falling out to childhood birthdays. Our current perceived reality is actually an elaborate dream state, challenging our understanding of existence and consciousness.
